United Nations
When are we (the United States of America) get out and kick out the UN. What good is a spineless bunch of third world countries trying to play with the big boys. The latest is the UN Women's Commission includes Iran! WTF!!!!
Would someone please tell me any good thing the UN has ever done? Humanitarian accomplishments don't count. We have things like Red Cross etc to take care of those issues.
The USA contributes 22% of the approximately $2 billion annual budget, WHY?
How much do UN diplomats owe in NYC parking tickets, probably close to the $2 billion? I apologize, I just looked it up, they owe NYC $18 million.

Arizona Law, part 3
People protesting the great new law in Arizona need to get their head out of their butts. Let's say a bunch of conventions cancel plans to have the convention in Arizona. Who gets hurt the most, hotels and restaurants! Who do these hotels and restaurants employ and who will the first to be laid off? I'll let you answer that question.
PS - What good can Al Sharpton do in Arizona?

GM pays back government
Bull crap, the unions raped the bond holders in bankruptcy and now GM is claiming they paid back the government loans in full. We will never be paid back in full. GM should have been left to fail and we'd be better off. If I have the timeline right, Bush gave GM money and Obama gave GM to the unions. At least we will get the money back eventually.
Arizona Law, part 2
President Obama is upset with Arizona for passing a state law. Two things wrong with this, one, its a state law, STFU. What about states rights! If the fed won't enforce the current law then the state has to protect themselves.
Two, he's only upset as he might lose some voters who will be on a bus home next election. Now if we could get California to enforce immigration law we'd have a real election.
Five years from now the Arizona budget will be running a surplus and the voters of Arizona will say "We told you so!"
From the NYT article: "While police demands of documents are common on subways, highways and in public places in some countries, including France, Arizona is the first state to demand that immigrants meet federal requirements to carry identity documents legitimizing their presence on American soil."
Apparently it is a federal requirement that immigrants carry identity docs at all times, so AZ is just enforcing a federal law. And why is Obama upset, I thought he wanted us to be more like France.

SEC and Stanford Financial
Caller: Hey, I think the Stanford Financial Group is nothing but a big ponzi scam.
SEC: Hey I'd do something but I got this big woody right now and I can't get up.

George's Financial Reform
- No adjustable rate mortgages, if you cannot afford the house now, then wait.
- Mortgage securitization will be allowed (RMBS), only at one level up from the original mortgage.
- No Credit Default Swaps, if you don't want to buy the security or you think it may be to risky, don't buy it.
- Commodity futures, if you don't have a place to store the commodity (oil, gas, wheat etc) or you won't be using the commodity, you cannot participate in the commodity markets. Keep the speculators out!
- Derivatives should be eliminated. If you don't want to trade in the underlying security, then don't. Something has to be 'real' not just a bunch of paper and calculations.
- No 'short selling', if you don't like a stock, don't buy it.
Thats all for now, more later.

Medicare vs. Socialized Medicine
I have a problem with the libs using medicare as an example of government controlled medicine when the 'keep government out of health care' argument is made. I think the difference is that people have contributed to medicare all their working life and there is a monthly premium paid by recipients.

SEC vs. Goldman Sachs, part 3
House Oversight Committee requesting SEC provide all documents related to Goldman Sachs, White House and DNC. Wanna bet the White House claims executive privilege. Let the shit hit the fan!

SEC vs. Goldman Sachs, part 2
This is getting fishier and fishier. First, the announcement was made the same day as the SEC is getting blasted for their role in the "Stanford situation". Was this coincidence or strategic? I don't believe in coincidence.
Next, it's rumored that the SEC vote to pursue this was 3 to 2. This is unusual in itself as decisions are typically unanimous, if in fact it was "along party lines" as rumored, it really makes you wonder if this action was politically motivated. If GS takes this to court all kinds of crap will come out. I bet the SEC will not let it come to that.
The SEC is really losing face in this mess. I say blow it up and start over, not the regulations, the people. I have had dealing with the SEC, they are just a bunch of lawyers and wouldn't know how to analyze a financial statement if their life depended on it,typical lawyers.

Obama's Superpower Comment
I do not take as much offense to President Obama saying "We are a dominant superpower, like it or not" as some of the conservative talking heads. But, it does show his lack of ability to be the President Of the United States. If he wanted to be president of a country that isn't a superpower, move to France! Maybe he should have started smaller and run for national office after he had some experience.
I love living in a dominant superpower!

SEC vs. Goldman Sachs
Hold on to your hats, SEC is going to take on Goldman Sachs for securities violations. What were those violations? They claim 'lack of proper disclosure', are you kidding me!!!!! This is just a publicity stunt by the SEC, if you want to point some fingers at the reason for the financial collapse, I have one middle finger to point at the SEC. I hope Goldman digs in and fights this and takes it to court. The SEC has gotten certain emails from Goldman, wait until Goldman asks the SEC for some of their internal documents.
Isn't the SEC chasing the horse after its already out of the barn, where were they in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008?
With the government pushing financial reform, can the timing of this charge have anything to do with "Chicago Style Politics"?
By the way, the financial instruments in question were rated "AAA" by both Moodys and S&P. When will these aholes be investigated?

Mainstream media bias
How much did the MSM report on the alleged spitting and the use of the N word by tea party members? Compare that to the 2 republicians who were beat up leaving the Southern Republican Leadership Conference dinner last Friday night. Their was a broken leg and broken nose involved. Say you didn't hear about this, I wonder why!

Confererate History
Let me get this straight, if the Confederate History month leaves out the bad stuff (slavery), what do they leave out when it's Black History Month? NBC please STFU!!!!!!!
Congress to grill CEO on HC cost charges!!
Oh, never mind. I am quoting:
"Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., has canceled a hearing intended to grill CEOs who took a charge against profits because of the health care reform bill.
The cancellation came after they realized what everyone already knew - that the companies were required to do what they did because of accounting rules. Waxman and others had reacted with outrage and accused the companies of doing it - in essence, to make health care reform look bad."
"Chairman Waxman thought he could intimidate businesses into keeping quiet about this new job-killing health care law, but when they called his bluff by continuing to speak out, he chose to pull the plug," Boehner said in a statement.
Apparently Waxman hadn't read the bill!!!!
Arizona Law?
Arizona is proposing a law to make it illegal to be in the state without legal immigration documents. WTF, isn't already against the law. I applaud Arizona, but just round them up and ship them home. Pick them up when they get their driver license, food stamps, lottery winnings, welfare checks, outside Home Depot and when they visit the emergency room. How hard would that be? Do that a little cost and save the state millions.

Obama Diplomacy, part 4
We don't need nukes, Obama just bored the Nuclear Security Summit to death. The man cannot answer the question asked and cannot take less than 5 minutes to answer a yes or no question. Plus he makes up questions that weren't asked.

Obama Diplomacy, part 2
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asks Great Britain to negotiate with Argentina over Falkland Island oil reserves. Is she stupid or just plain arrogant. Lets piss of our number one ally. This would be like Great Britain asking the US to negotiate with Mexico over Texas.
Doesn't she realize British soldiers died in 1982 to keep the Falkland Island people from falling under an Argentine dictator. I bet if you asked her about the Falkland War she'd look like Sarah Palin on NBC.
