My Latest Project

The Castelli Jet Ride was made around 1955 by F C Castelli Co. (my Grandfather)

I have had the 'Jet Ride' for awhile and finally got around to restoring it. I bought it on eBay over 5 years ago. It was in rough shape but complete except for one bearing that the axle went through.

After taking it apart, which included drilling out the riveted parts that held the front wheel and handlebars, I was able to have a local guy soda blast all parts. He wanted to paint (powder coat) it for me but I gotta do some of the work. The soda blaster also removed the remaining bearing that was shot.

The handlebars and parts that I drilled out were chromed, again a local guy in Mississippi.

All the wheels and tires were in great shape. I cleaned all the tires with paint thinner and after a couple of coats of Armor All they look great. "Castelli" is on the tires.

Paint is International Harvester red, from Tractor Supply.

Hand and foot grips are original and got the same treatment as the tires. They look great.

Assembly required new bearings, axle nuts and pal nuts. All are from either Ace Hardware or Tractor Supply.

The model is my 4 year old grand daughter or the great great grand daughter of F C Castelli. She is just a tad to short to actually ride it. My older grand kids will sure give it a work out.

Occupy Protests

Occupy Oakland wants to shut down the city. If they did who would notice? I also want to know why its a big deal that the guy who got hurt was a vet.

Come on people, it's only Oakland.

ESPN has no balls

Hank Williams Jr lead in "Are you ready for some football" has been pulled from ESPN's MNF broadcast due to some pc BULLSHIT.

He didn't call Obama Hitler and how do we know that he wasn't applying the Hitler analogy to Boehner? And it was stupid for those giys to play golf together.

Energy Costs

Just read a "news" story from USA Today that said that the high energy cost cannot be controlled by the government. I say BULLSHIT. You put a lib in the White House who is on record as saying he wants to destroy the coal industry, who tells the EPA to drag its feet and do anything possible to slow drilling in Alaska and has pushed high cost green energy projects, will cause an increase in energy costs. If that is not the government controlling energy costs I don't know what is.

I do disagree with Michelle Bachman's claim she could get gas to $2.00 a gallon, but with the GOP in charge we will be done with $4 a gallon gas.

Debt Limit

The new worst words you can hear coming out of Washington DC, "over the next ten years".

They are calling for spending cuts of $3 trillion over the next ten years. Wow, sounds like a lot, but..... current spending is running $1.3 trillion over revenues. Take that times 10 years and that's $13 trillion, less the spending cuts of $3 trillion and all we do is increase out debt by $10 trillion over the next ten years. That sounds pretty stupid. Until you hear a number around $13 trillion for spending cuts it doesn't mean shit.

U.S. Postal Service

Just heard a promo from the USPS claiming that the post office does not cost taxpayers any funds other than the postage we pay. I say BULLSHIT!

The USPS has been running a deficit for the past several years and any shortfall is made up with borrowed money. Guess who lends them the money? You and I do! Does anyone think the USPS will ever pay this back? How much, close to $15 BILLION!!!!!!!!!

Professional Politicians

The President of the United States said that the American people do not understand the "debt crisis". We need to leave things like that to "professional politicians". WTF

What pisses me off the most is that the melon headed left does not have a problem with what he said. Basically he said what we, on the right, knew along. One, the 'hope and change' was just a bunch of bullshit and two, Washington DC is full of a bunch of whores.

Pakistan

Pakistan president says they next time we do something like that again they will respond with full force. I say we just say, "Hey India, you can have Pakistan." That will shut aholes up.

Osama bin Laden

Well, we finally got the bastard and wow will he be pissed when he finds out there aren't any virgins waiting for him.

He has been hiding for a couple or 3 years within 1000 yards of Pakistan's equivalent to West Point. I say Pakistan knew where he was all along and we should just add them to the list of future targets. The official line is that Pakistan is a strong ally in the fight against the Taliban. If that is true, why didn't they give up OBL? We give Pakistan a $3 billion in aid, I say we give them $3 billion in bombs.

S&P raises questions about the rating of the US Government but they didn't say boo about all the CDO's etc that caused the financial crisis, WTF!

Government Shutdown

Let's go and shut the government down and send everyone home. Then we use the 'lifeboat' drill. When a government employee is needed for something, then they get to go back to work. After 3 months if you are not needed, go to HR and get your severance check.

Will balance the budget in 6 months.

Wisconsin Unions

The headline was 'Unions to go after GOP in next elections'. That's not news, when did a union ever support the GOP? When will the MSM get their collective heads out of their asses?

Folks, the issue is not who to tax and how much, the issue is government spending. If we raised taxes and it all went to reducing the deficit or paying off the national debt, I and many others would support an across the board tax increase. Problem is, you give the government more money they just find a way to waste it.

Enforce the law!!!!!!!

Who gets to decide what laws we are going to support and which ones we won't? Correct answer is: NO ONE!!!

If a law is unconstitutional, get it off the books. There is a process for that. I don't care what the law is, I don't care that the current issue is DOMA. A law is a law!!!!

Where is MSM on this? What if a GOP president did the same thing? This guy in the white house is dangerous. What law is next for "we won't enforce"? November 2012 cannot come soon enough.

Somali Pirates

When will we (the USA) grow a set a balls? Somali pirates kill 4 Americans and what will we do, have a nice trial? I say we go in there and blow the shit out of them. Innocent bystanders, fuck 'em. If they support the pirates they are not so innocent. Just ask, WWRRD!

Wisconsin Protest

What is going on in Wisconsin right now is absurd. The lefties say it's just the people speaking. Hey, the people spoke in the last election and voted in a GOP governor, as well as, a Republican majority in the State Senate.

The main stream media spends all its time interviewing protesters who may or may not even be citizens of Wisconsin. Why aren't they interviewing regular citizens whose kids are out of school. When will that time be made up and will the teachers who walked off the job get paid ?

The Democrats in the state senate who have fled the state should all be impeached.

Egypt

Isn't what's going on in Egypt one of the things where the United Nations should be taking action. Since the bunch of third world aholes do nothing unless it is against the US, I guess we won't be hearing from them in the near future.

Did anyone notice what President Obama said last night? Quoting "Over the last few days, the passion and the dignity that has been demonstrated by the people of Egypt has been an inspiration to people around the world, including here in the United States, and to all those who believe in the inevitability of human freedom." Apparently it's OK to overthow your government with violence. I am not comfortable with those words, especially since the violence escalated today.

Social Security

Let's be clear, some "congressional budget experts" say that social security will be broke by 2037. So what do the aholes in charge do, cut the SS contribution by 2% this year! WTF, why do we put up with this shit! Where is the main stream media on this? Since the MSM have their heads so far up their asses they cannot see what is going to bankrupt this country.

In 2037 I'll be 89, never mind, I'll never make it to 89. So now I don't give a shit but why doesn't anyone else?

Spending Freeze

Mr. President, a spending freeze is not the answer. Spending cuts are! We are placing a huge burden on future generations. I'll be dead but my kids and grand kids shouldn't be burdened with trillions of dollars of debt.

Super Bowl

Glad to see my Packers made it. Yes, I can say my Packers as I am one of the owners of the Green Bay Packers. Their are approximately 112,000 owners. The Pack sold shares after the 1997 Super Bowl to help raise money for the improvements to Lambeau field. The $200 was well worth it.

I thought the NFC Championship game was what you'd expect for a Packers-Bears game. Lots of hard hitting and defense. I think if the Pack had gotten the third TD in the first half it would have been a blow out, I am glad the Bears made it interesting.

Aaron Rodgers didn't look like he did vs. Atlanta, but he was playing against the Bears defense not Atlanta's. I also think that shot to the head had to have had something to do with his performance.

I am not sure they should be 2 or 3 point favorites to beat the Steelers but I sure do hope they crush them. Our defense is better that people think and now we have at least a adequate running game.

GO PACKERS!!!!!!!!!

State of the Union

This proposed by the liberal left to have commingling of the parties at the SOU address is bullshit. If they just hadn't gotten slaughtered in the last election they probably would have figured a way to keep the GOP out of the building. I think the GOP should tell the left to fuck off. It should make for some interesting TV to see the left standing and cheering and the right sitting on their hands. Almost makes me want to watch. Notice I said almost, have to watch Rush on the Haney Project instead.

NFL Analysis

My two teams in the playoffs are the Green Bay Packers and the Baltimore Ravens. I actually own stock in the Packers so I am a big fan as well as an owner. I want to see them both in Dallas for Super Bowl.

Green Bay at Atlanta - The Pack lost in Atlanta in week 12 by the score of 20-17. Atlanta kicked the game winning FG with 9 seconds remaining. The Packers had 26 yards rushing in 11 attempts by the RB's. GB had over 400 yards of offense vs. Atlanta's 294. This weeks The Pack has a running game, controls the clock and keeps Matt Ryan off the field and the defense slows down Tony Gonzalez and Packers win 24-14.

Ravens vs. Steelers - teams split season with both games being won by 3 points on the losers home field. Game cannot be analyzed, Ravens 17-14.
