Medical Community Explain This!!!!!

Brett Michaels has a brain hemorrhage and recovers from it. A couple of months later he has a TIA or mini stroke. During tests it is discovered he also has a hole in his heart. WTF, did this hole just appear or was it there while he was being treated for the brain hemorrhage? IMHO, I don't care what you go into the hospital for, you shouldn't have a hole in your heart when you check out!
