Unemployment Claims, Main Stream Media (MSM)

Headline on the Thursday before mid term elections, "Unemployment Claims Drop Sharply". Something sounds fishy, and the MSM is at it again. Also, unless I am mistaken the weekly report typically reports the adjustment to last weeks figures. There is no such mention in the AP report, they must have went up. Please define sharply, is 4.6% "sharply". No mention of 4.6% just the word sharply.

If I were a betting man, next Thursday the numbers will pop back up.

Main Stream Media Bias

MSM does it again. Headline is "MoveOn.org member stomped by Rand Paul supporters!" The stompee then gets up and gives an interview. Let me tell you that if I stomped someone they wouldn't be able to get up and give an interview.

League of Women Voters (LWV)

I normally wouldn't judge an entire group by the actions of one person but when that person gets supported by the executive director, I'll use the broad brush.

The story begins as an audience member asks the moderator of a LWV debate if they are going to start the proceedings with the Pledge of Allegiance, her response is no and the audience spontaneously stands and recites the pledge. The moderator and an executive director of the LWV blasts the audience and the Republican candidate.

Mexican Pirates - update

Tiffany Hartley, the wife of David Hartley who was allegedly shot and killed by Mexican pirates on a border lake with Texas, is telling President Obama that it's time to take on drug cartels. "He should wake up and look what's going on in our backyards." - From FOX News and Denver Post

What are the chances he does anything? Kissing the asses of third world countries appears to be his favorite sport. I say this because he has done more ass kissing than playing golf and he has played a lot of golf.

Black chick spits on white guy, he punches her out and he has to spend 6 months in jail. Two witnesses support white guys story, witness that supported the black chicks story apparently wasn't any where near the front of the store. All the white guy was trying to do is hold the door for the black chick and her child. Now it comes out she has a history of this kinda crap. By the way, why wasn't the black chicks husband and/or the child's father holding the door? Oh never mind.

NPR

I'd love for National Public Radio to call me right now and ask for a donation. Juan Williams will be much better off without NPR and I cannot say the reverse. I always thought he added a lot to the conversation when he was a guest on Fox.

First of all why would Bill O'Reilly go on "The View". I'll bet that show was the highest rated show in a while.

Apple Computer

Apple just released quarterly financial results. They made a profit of over $4 Billion this quarter, that's just 3 months. Guess you now know why your iPod, iPad, iPhone and Mac computer cost so much.

I looked at a Mac the last time I bought a computer, the salesgeek was either stupid or lied to me. Even so, it was way to expensive and ugly.

I just do not get it. I have a great MP3 player that cost $29. That's about equal to the sales tax on a iPod. I have a nice cell phone that does everything I want (make phone calls) and it cost $19.

Foreclosure Mess

Shelia Baird, chairman FDIC, said it best when she said the mortgage mess started along time ago when people stopped going to their local bank for their home loan. The mortgage process became an impersonal paperwork quagmire. Lot's of people got mortgages when they never should have, that happens when you never sit down across the desk from the guy who approves your loan.

Now, paperwork snafus are delaying the foreclosure process. I can understand how the paperwork can get screwed up when the original mortgage has been bought and sold many times. I still don't understand why the last guy holding the paper (mortgage) doesn't work something out with the homeowner to keep them in the house. After all, the last thing the lender wants in this market is the house back.

Now for the bottom line, "IF YOU HAVEN'T MADE ANY PAYMENTS IN A YEAR, STFU AND GET OUT!" I don't care if the paperwork is screwed up.

I sure am glad I will never have to apply for another mortgage in my lifetime. The process will only be even more painful than it already is.

You take your car to the shop to get fixed, they "fix" it and something isn't right, you take it back until they get it fixed. Do you pay extra, no!

Chile Mine Rescue Observations

Rescue shaft drilled by an American using American equipment.

Rescued miners in great shape, kudos to whoever was in charge of keeping their spirits up and physical well being.

The president of Chile is a camera hog. Some concern rescue was delayed to start at 11:00 news slot. I thought that was BS until I saw how many photo ops the president had. Plus we don't even know if Chile TV has a similar schedule to ours.

Stimulus Payments to Dead People

72,000 checks for $250 each were mailed to dead people. That's not news, that's just our government in action. What I want reported is what happened to the checks, were any cashed and if so is there any legal action being taken to recover the money?

Turkey burgers

I keep seeing this TV commercial where they give away free turkey burgers and ask the people what they think. What a crock, you'd have to pay me to even try a turkey burger. If God wanted you to eat turkey burgers He wouldn't have made them taste like chicken. What a waste of good turkey.

Lawyers

If you are a lawyer you might want to stop reading at this point.

Are they doing this out of the goodness of their heart? Or are they expecting huge payments for standing in court and saying BP fucked up. You know the answer.

Now that most mortgage loan officers have been put out of business, lawyer have returned to their proper place at the top of the list of 'biggest bunch of scumbags'.

If the new HC laws are so great why have there been 30 waivers issued so far and another 140 applications are being reviewed? These waivers aren't being issued to little Mom & Pop businesses but major corporations. WTF!

The Supreme Court hears the case about protesters at military funerals. This is a tough one, on one hand I want to shoot the protesters, on the other hand they have the right to free speech. I guess they also have the right to be assholes.

Mexican Pirates - update

From FOX news - "The wife and mother of an American allegedly shot to death by Mexican pirates on a border lake in Texas are angrily demanding that Mexican authorities allow U.S. investigators to join the search for a body -- and stop questioning whether the attack ever happened."

The silence from the White House is deafening, but what did you expect. President Obama should ask WWRRD! I'll bet there would be some bullets and explosives involved.

Mexican pirates terrorize a border lake near San Antonio TX. American tourist is killed. This apparently is not the first sign of these pirates. How can this happen? Oh, I know, we don't want to go in there and solve the pirate problem with force as we might piss off the government of Mexico. F#$k Mexico, turn some the the Texas locals loose and the problem would be solved. I dare the press to ask President Obama about this incident. All we'd hear is Mexican sovereignty blah blah blah, our friends to the south, blah blah blah, question won't get answered and nothing will be done about the problem.
